How to use it
- Network name (SSID): type it exactly as it appears in your phone's WiFi list, including capitals and spaces.
- Password: it stays in this browser and is never uploaded.
- Security: most networks use WPA/WPA2/WPA3. Choose None for an open network.
- Guest card: add your venue name and a short note and pick a style. Save one card, or an A4 sheet with four cards to cut out.
- Choose whether the password is also printed as text, for guests whose phones cannot scan.
Where it helps
- Cafes and restaurants: a card on each table ends the "what's the WiFi password?" question.
- Airbnb and guesthouses: put it in the welcome guide so international guests connect without typing.
- Offices: use it for a guest network kept separate from your internal one.
iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and most Android phones read WiFi QR codes with the built-in camera. If you change the password, make a new code.
FAQ
Is my password stored anywhere?
No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. Anyone who scans the code can join, so use a guest network in public places.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. On iOS 11 or later the camera shows a "Join network" prompt.
What about hidden networks?
Tick "Hidden network" and phones will connect even though the SSID is not broadcast.
My network name has special characters.
Characters such as ; , : \ and " are escaped automatically. Type the name as it is.
