How to use it

  1. Upload a photo: drag in an image of a QR code or press choose a photo.
  2. Paste a screenshot: for a QR on your screen, take a screenshot (Windows: Win+Shift+S, Mac: ⌘+Shift+4) and press Ctrl+V (⌘V) on this page.
  3. Use the camera: start the camera and hold the code inside the frame. It reads automatically.
  4. Read the result: links, WiFi, contacts, phone numbers and text messages are recognized and laid out clearly. For WiFi codes you can copy the password in one click.

When it won't read

  • If the code is tiny in the photo, crop it and try again.
  • Blurry or glare-covered photos are faster to retake.
  • With several codes in one picture, crop each one.

Can it read barcodes?

No, this tool reads QR codes only, not 1D product barcodes.
