How to use it
- Pick the date of birth. The "as of" date defaults to today; change it to find age on any date, such as a deadline or an event.
- Read the exact age in years, months and days, plus total months, weeks and days lived.
- See how many days remain until the next birthday and which weekday it falls on.
What is "Korean age"?
Traditionally Koreans counted a newborn as 1 and added a year every January 1. Since June 28, 2023, South Korea uses international age (called man-nai) for legal and administrative purposes. Some laws, such as those on military service and buying alcohol, still use "year age": the current year minus the birth year. The calculator shows all three so you can compare.
FAQ
How is exact age calculated?
Subtract the birth year from the current year, then subtract one more if this year's birthday has not happened yet. Months and days are counted from the last birthday.
What about people born on February 29?
In non-leap years the calculator treats March 1 as the birthday, the most common legal convention.
Is my birth date stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
